Calm and warm - the treatment room at Touch Therapy

Calm and warm – the treatment room at Touch Therapy

Sadly I did not re-open when the Government allowed the opening of close contact services on April 12th 2021 as I have a health issue that has been extremely well treated by our fabulous NHS. I have now finished treatment and once I have had the follow-up scan I will ensure I’m back to my usual energetic self so I can look forward to re-opening with renewed vigour and dedication.

Guidance from the Government and my professional association has required me to re-assess my working practice. The safety of my clients, myself and family are paramount and I will be doing everything in my power to ensure I have  instigated everything necessary to minimise the risk of cross-infection.

I have missed seeing clients and am really looking forward to ‘firing up’ again, but it will be in a very different environment from the ‘old normal’. Some of the measures I am required to put in place seemed daunting at first. However I really intend to make your experience safe while still offering the nurturing, comforting and uplifting experience that I have aimed to provide over the last 15 years of practice.

Do sign up below and visit my Facebook page to keep updated with the constantly changing landscape of ‘close contact services’ – as we are designated by Government – and preparations I am doing to re-open safely.

In the meantime I keep up with developments in the well-being world and enjoy seeing family and friends more easily. The staff at City Hospital have been superb – friendly and professional. I have also been well supported at Maggie’s – for a cuppa, chat or cry – and want to show my appreciation by raising money for the staff and volunteers to help this valuable service for cancer patients and their families continue. I’m delighted with the amount raised so far and would so much like to hit £1k’!! https://www.facebook.com/donate/3039286829683564/10158113237696981/

We can survive without any one of our five senses – except our sense of touch. Touch is as vital to our health and happiness as food or water…

Massage is both therapeutic and prophylatic – in conjunction with a considered and sensible lifestyle, it helps to restore and preserve health and maintain well being.
